Fluid Culture
Pre test Information : No Special Preparation Needed
A test called pleural fluid culture looks at a sample of fluid that has accumulated in the pleural space to determine whether you have an infection or to determine the reason why fluid has accumulated there. The pleural space is the region between the chest wall and the lining of the exterior of the lungs (pleura).
